BE KIND TO YOUR MIND

Hence "BKTYM"

As a psychology major I am very passionate about mental health advocation and education. Let's be honest we have all felt the overwhelmingness of anxiety in stressful moments and the bad days depression can bring. Mental health is such a NORMAL thing and is a part of EVERY SINGLE ONE of our lives, so why has it become so dang stigmatized in our world? For this reason every week I will be posting a mental health tip on my blog called "Be kind to your mind". These tips can range from ways to "survive" tough days, how to approach and take care of a friend who you believe might be struggling, to simply practicing mindfulness techniques. In these posts I will also include somethings that I have found to help me personally when I'm in the midst of a funk. My hope with these honest posts is to try to destigmatize the topic of mental heath and provide knowledge, help, and/or guidance to any individual through each weekly posting. After all, your mental health IS just as important as your physical health.
